Just mappers started creating their maps

JUST MAPPERS STARTED CREATING THEIR MAPS

From April 2026, Just Mappers began creating their maps, in both digital and paper formats, using the information gathered through the research and observation activities, using a Global Citizenship Education perspective. With this activity, students developed their critical thinking, creativity, and digital skills.

Below you will find a series of maps that you can explore. Each map has been created by a team of students – the Just Mappers. Interact with the maps to find out more.

These maps, created by a group of students from Prus High School in Warsaw, Poland, show the area between the Piknik Saska complex (Wał Miedzeszyński 399) and the Warsaw Geodetic Centre on the River Vistula: it is a picturesque stretch of the Praga riverbank, combining recreational activities, unspoilt nature and cartographic points of interest.
The students decided to map this area to highlight alternatives to the busy thoroughfares for young people, adults and the elderly and started suggesting some changes.

Using the Google Earth web app, the students from IC Umberto I of Lanciano (Italy), georeferenced and mapped some key areas of Lanciano to highlight critical issues and suggest greener habits.
