In October 2025, the Just Maps Journey started also for the students!

In fact, teachers organised multiple activities with their pupils to introduce the project and its aim: support students in becoming Global Active Citizens.

During this period, teachers and students – the Just Mappers – worked together to find the area they want to analyse and observe in order to make research on their neighborhood to collect details and create the maps. They gathered relevant information from a Global Citizenship Education perspective, regarding past and present stories of community spaces, roads, parks, rivers, buildings, environmental and social issues.

They also organised interviews and observation visits, engaging the local community.
